Five motorists charged in Massena

MASSENA -- Village police say they recently charged the following drivers:

• William J. Ward, 44, of Bishop Avenue, Massena was charged with illegal signal, obstructed view and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 8 p.m. Thursday on North Main Street.

• Crystal L. Durocher, 46, of Buckton Road, Winthrop was charged with unsafe backing at 5 p.m. Thursday on South Main Street.

• Josh R. Hollenbeck, 32, of Malby Drive, Massena was charged with failure to yield at 2:45 p.m. Thursday at Spruce Street and Bishop Avenue.

• Larry W. Wallace, 76, of P.O. Box 56, Raymondville was charged with unreasonable speed at 11:15 a.m. Thursday in the Romeo's Liquor Store parking lot, South Main Street. Police said the charge stems from a property damage accident.

• Amy L. Rogers, 37, of state Route 37B, Massena was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and leaving the scene of a property damage accident at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Dollar General parking lot, North Main Street.
