CANTON — An Ogdensburg man who is incarcerated at the St. Lawrence County Jail was charged Thursday flowing an order of protection violation investigation, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

Jacob R. Brabant, 34, was charged with aggravated family offense, felony, and second-degree criminal contempt, deputies said.

Brabant, an inmate at the correctional facility, allegedly contacted a protected party on a no contact order of protection, officers said.

He was convicted of a family offense in 2017 which now implements the aggravated family offense charge, deputies said.

He was arraigned in Canton court and held without bail, officers said.
