Dissolution of municipal government meeting Nov. 19 in Potsdam
POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence Mayors Conference is sponsoring a meeting with information on the issue of dissolution of municipal government units on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Village of Potsdam’s Civic Center Community Room, on the second floor above the Potsdam Police Station.
Wade Beltramo, staff counsel at the New York Conference of Mayors, will present the session. He will discuss the process and will review several case studies. He will allow time for questions and answers, and discussion.
Depending on advance attendance responses, the meeting may be moved to an alternate location.
With the recently adopted change to the dissolution law in New York State, and the recent initiatives being promoted by state government, this is a timely session. Interested people are encouraged to attend.
