OGDENSBURG -- Harold Myers, a retired agent from Prudential Financial, recently was awarded a $250 grant from the Prudential Foundation.
The Prudential CARES Volunteer Grants program recognizes individual and team volunteers who provided a minimum of 40 hours of volunteer service per individual. Grants range from $250 to $5,000 for each award winner’s charitable organization.
Myers has devoted more than 100 hours of volunteer service to Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club Inc. In 2008, he served as the chairman for the two annual fundraising events that garnered $6,000 to support the organization. Myers has volunteered with the organization for the past four years and also served on the board of directors. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.
