Potsdam police arrest four for DWI, other alcohol-related infractions

POTSDAM – A Potsdam man was arrested for drunk driving, and in other cases, three eople were charged with alcohol-related infractions on Thursday, according to village police.
Police charged Adam L. Wood, 26, Potsdam, with driving while intoxicated and illegal U-turn at 2:15 a.m. on Elm Street after he was observed making the U-turn on Market Street.
Stephanie L. Codd, 18, Manorville, was charged at 9:36 p.m. with second degree criminal impersonation and attempting to purchase alcohol by fraudulent means. Police responded to a call from CJ’s Kegs, Cases & More, in the SeaComm Plaza at 145 ½ Market St., to verify an identification card. The card was found to belong to Codd’s sister, police said.
Matthew E. Reason, 20, Gouverneur, and Jacob J. Wicks, 18, Carle Place, were both charged with open container and underage possession of alcohol with intent to consume at 10:47 p.m. on Bay Street. Police said they were observed walking with an open container of an alcoholic beverage.
