To the Editor:
I recently appeared in Potsdam Village Court as a plaintiff against Robert Cochrane, 24 1/2 Larnard St., Potsdam.
Mr. Cochrane never appeared to defend himself against the charges that he took an upfront payment from me for work that he never completed.
I was awarded a sum deemed a fair reimbursement by the court.
I write this letter because I am the second person this year that Mr. Cochrane has done this to and had a judgment issued against him; he didn’t appear in court for the other case either.
His Craigslist ad seems to me to be directed toward seniors.
Because it appears that Mr. Cochrane has a habit of deception, I would recommend no one hire him for any job, but if you do, do not give him any money until he has satisfactorily completed the job.
