I have come across a voter self defense site: https://voteeasy.votesmart.org/map. The amount of information there is amazing and seemingly factual without bias and includes just about every person u p for election in the entire country.
Enter your zip code and every politician up for election in the midterms and onward are covered, grouped logically, with complete information on each of them including history, activities, ratings and much more!
You start off with candidates for the House and Senate and go from there.
I highly recommend a look at this site, but prepare to spend some time with it because it's addicting! At least to me it was. From the row at the top of a politician's page to can see their stand on 17 different issues and activities that, once you know what each number is, women's rights or whatever, you can check that out each of them for detailed, unbiased analysis.
Everything seems to be factual, and the lack of opinions or judgments are just not included.
I have signed up with them and thoroughly enjoy their pages, but you do not have to sign up to get any of their information; it is all there for anyone, and free.
