Opinion: SLC Conservative Party chairman supports Hammond in as legislator

I am writing to support Michael S. Hammond in running for St. Lawrence County Legislator, District 3. This district includes Morristown, Oswegatchie, Heuvelton, and parts of Canton. Mike grew up in this district and has a deep passion for the success of it’s towns and a love for the people in it.

He has been a member of the Executive Committee for the Conservative party of St. Lawrence County since 2008. Serving over 10 years on this committee, he has learned the importance of being fiscally responsible, a trait any tax payer should look for in their legislator. Mike is also the mayor of Rensselaer Falls.

Mike is a sixth grade teacher at Ogdensburg Free Academy. He gets the opportunity to educate our youth. He works hard to instill values in his students that will foster their potential to be responsible adults; caring about the North Country. Mike understands that one of the biggest exports that the North Country has is its youth. This is from the lack of jobs available in the area. Mike hopes to be a part of the change that we need in upstate NY, of bringing jobs back to the North County.

Mike has the taxpayers best interest at hand, and will work hard to be responsible as a member on the legislature. He has no problem reaching across the aisle, and will work with each member on the legislature and County representatives to bring prosperity back to St. Lawrence County.

On November 6th, please consider giving your vote to Michael Hammond for SLC Legislator, District 3.

Henry "Hank" Ford

Chairman, SLC Conservative Party
