Words cannot express our thanks to our Massena Senior club members for their overwhelming support and donations they made at our annual Fall Bazaar. What a day! Once again our members stepped up to make our fundraiser a huge success.

Every baked goods item for our silent auction, raffles, and odds and ends came from over 150 donations from our many members. This made it possible to provide more events to be held at our senior center for our members.

Our thanks to all our volunteers for your time and cooperation at our annual bazaar, whether you did the calling, worked the bake sale, sold 50/50 tickets, cooked the lunch, sat at the tables, worked the Skillo, or however you helped to make a difference.

The following businesses allowed us to sell our 50/50 tickets: On a Roll Deli and SeaComm Bank. The 50/50 winner was Rachaelle Warriner. Special raffle and silent auction winners were called, and the lists of winners are available at our office.

Many, many hours volunteering go into keeping the Senior Center open Monday through Friday with different activities for all ages of seniors 50 years and up. We have many different activities scheduled every day, and daily maintenance of the senior rooms is mostly provided by our senior volunteers.

We have a large numbers of seniors using our rooms 3 or 4 times a week playing cards, shuffleboard, doing chair yoga, and line dancing. There is no charge to use the senior rooms, and all members are welcome to enjoy our events.

We have over 500 members. A monthly newsletter of activities is sent to members and the Courier Observer. We also do a daily birthday list at WMSA radio station. Many of our seniors are by themselves and come to our senior center for socialization and friendship.

We do care and are proud of our accomplishments in how we have served our seniors in the past, and we will be here serving them in the future.
