To the Editor:
It is with gratitude to publicly thank Kathleen Stein, President-League of Women Voters of St. Lawrence County, Betty Connolly, President-St. Lawrence County Chapter AAUW and Donna Seymour, LWV/AAUW Board member, for the invitation to participate on North Country Matters Conversations with Candidates during the Canton Town Supervisor Campaign.
Conversations with Candidates is a non-partisan video project developed to provide information for voters about candidates.
The League of Women Voters "encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through educations and advocacy."
The American Association of University Women "advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research."
I sincerely appreciate all members of these fine organizations for making a difference in the lives of others.
Mary Ann Ashley
