As a past town supervisor for 11 years I have seen several Legislators who have failed badly and never knew it. Rita Curran will not be one of these.
After speaking with Rita quite a few times and reading her article in North Country This Week I have no doubt that she is the woman for District 15. The issues touched upon are spot on for St. Lawrence County.
Drug addiction is out of control in St. Lawrence County, as a family nurse practitioner Rita has a deep understanding of the ravages of addiction to both drugs and alcohol and insight as to how this problem should be addressed.
Large employers have either left or down sized in our area. Rita understands that local business opportunities can fill a lot of that void if given the chance and support of local and county government. Young families should have the opportunity to grow and prosper here and not have to relocate for that opportunity.
Rita’s insight grasps the fact that small ideas can grow into solid business improvements. Seed ideas like the Bassmasters tournament and carp tournament have proved these ideas can and will work. This form of thinking must be given a chance to mature.
Your vote for Rita Curran for legislator, District 15 is the step needed to bring her many abilities to the St. Lawrence County Legislature this November.
