Norfolk firematic drills a successful event

To the Editor:

This letter is written to congratulate the officers and members of the Norfolk Fire Department along with the Fire Department commissioners, town and village of Norfolk on the renovation made to Clinton Street that was used on Saturday Sept. 1 for the annual firematic drill. This facility after many years of promises to repair, was made into an acceptable facility which all the teams that participated along with the officials as well, were able to appreciate.

We know the Norfolk Department and the Snails Drill Team have worked hard with all governmental agencies to make this the facility that we have asked for, for many years.

We were sorry that some teams were unable to attend but those who did appreciated the improvements.

We ask that in the future that those attending please obey the fire police present as it helps to run the event smoothly. This also facilitates quick response from the rescue squads if they are needed.

Again our congratulations to all involved and we hope to continue to use the facility for many years to come.

Jerry Flanders, President, Drill Team Captains Association
