Nearly 500 coats collected in St. Lawrence County during ‘Coats for Kids' drive hosted by B99.3

To the Editor:

During the month of November, B 99.3 and STAR 100.1 teamed up with area businesses to keep local kids warm by asking people to donate new or gently used coats to their winter campaign, “Coats for Kids.” A total of nearly 500 coats were collected at a number of participating locations listed below.

The coats were given two local service agencies: The Potsdam Holiday Fund and The Canton Church and Community Program, for distribution. Jeff and Dave Demo, owners of Potsdam Laundry and Dry Cleaning and their staff graciously laundered the gently used coats.

Vinny, B 99.3 Morning Host, was at various locations during the month of November doing live broadcasts to bring awareness to the effort and collect coats

We'd like to thank everyone for their generosity during this special campaign, the businesses for their support, and Potsdam Laundry and Dry Cleaning for cleaning the gently used coats.
