To the Editor:

The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce was pleased to hold another successful Car-B-Que on Saturday, June 9th from 10 am to 4 pm on the grounds of the Dobisky Visitors Center – Our classic Car Show with BBQ was fun for the whole family! We were proud to host (92) classic cars from Canada and the US!

We had a beautiful day and a huge crowd. The 10th Mountain Division Band was awesome providing our music! The Salvation Army provided their ounce houses and sno-cones! The Fort LaPresentation Association and the Rotary Club had an ice cream social!

The Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club held their Touch-A-Truck event in the parking lot of the former Ogdensburg Mall. We had the following vendors: Usborne Books and More; Paparazzi Gems for Gems for 5; 9 Blessings Boutique; Bonnie’s Seasonal Crafts; Thousand Island Wineries and High Peaks Winery. We held our annual Car-B-Que Grill Raffle and had the following winners were: 1st prize – Two Cape Air tickets to Boston was won by Marsha Snyder; 2nd prize – Walmart gas grill was won by Dick Powell; 3rd prize – (4) --$20 gift cards from Ogdensburg Save-A-Lot won by Jon Boraasky; 4th prize – tower fan from Kimro’s Medicine Place won by Shannon Demers. The Akwesasne Casino Resort package was won by Kim Chawqo and the 50/50 prize was won by Judy Ryan.
