To the Editor:

Question: Are there any other Massena residents and/or property taxpayers out there who have grown weary, disaffected, disgusted, with our “Big Three” i.e.: the Mayor’s Office, the Town Supervisor’s Office, and the Greater Massena BDC Office (and office holders)?

The level of discourse, the snipes and bickering, using the local media and personal blogs to attack one another in attempts to “one-up” each other.

The chips on the shoulders and unwarranted arrogance are pervasive.

I propose the following: Either cease and desist the public, toxic, and unbecoming attacks and behavior on each other as elected and appointed representatives of the many good people of Massena, OR, I will personally finance and build a state of the art wrestling ring in my backyard at 153 Andrews Street.

Hidy and Gray as one tag team, Clark and a designee of his choice as the other. Winner takes all.

I will donate $500 to the charity of the winner’s choice (whether it be the BDC, a nuclear power exploratory committee, whomever you like).

One condition: Once the match is over, and the winner is declared, all three must shut the heck up, stop complaining and attacking each other, and start doing what we sent you there to do. Serve the people of the community of Massena.

The citizens of Massena deserve better.
