To the Editor:
The Hopkinton SummerFest committee would like to thank everyone for their support and attendance during our 10th anniversary event. From the start on Friday evening with the “Hopkinton Has Talent” to the conclusion Sunday evening of the amazing fireworks, it was deemed to be successful. The weather was made to order and attendance was overwhelming.
The event has continued to be a great summer tradition, offering something for everyone. Thanks to various donations from area businesses, the event is free, except for a minimal charge for food and drinks.
A special thank you to each committee member for their time and dedication, the fire department and rescue squad for standing by during the events, area businesses for their donations, the Hopkinton highway crew and all of the volunteers who gave their time to help make this event happen.
The committee is looking for new members and new ideas. A follow up meeting will be held in August and we encourage community members to attend and give their feedback.
Sue Wood, Hopkinton
