To the Editor:
I am writing to you in regards to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Back in 1995, we buried our granddaughter in the state of Indiana. My husband was working for a company that frequently transferred us, so in 1996, we left Indiana.
We have never been able to go to the gravesite to visit. It’s always been an empty part in our hearts that she was all alone.
So many times, I tried to find a way to get her up here, but they always wanted so much money that we really couldn’t have this done.
With the help of Hammill Funeral Home, we were able to have this done for nothing. All they said was bring her home where she belongs.
I never believed in miracles until now. This is a Christmas never to forget.
