To the Editor:

Attention American Taxpayers. As it pertains to the St. Lawrence Brewing Company and IDA loan from your tax dollars let us present our case.

It’s unfortunate we the people have not held those elected accountable for this misguided un-American thinking. This is but one of thousands of examples where government wastes your hard earned dollar (Start-Up NY is included).

Are you a winner or a loser?

Exhibit A: When we allow government to spend (waste) our taxpayer dollars to bolster business we allow government to pick winners and losers. Without fail government nearly always will pick the loser.

Exhibit B: Proof government has no business in business.

Exhibit C: Here's a novel idea. Stop wasting our taxpayer money and allow the free market to do what the government should not/cannot do.

Conclusion: America is built on our free market and has made this country great and exceptional. If your elected representatives believe government is the answer to business success hold them accountable and remove them from office.

This misguided thinking is best suited for Communist China.

The cost to you for this government boondoggle is $350,000. The only way to put a stop to the waste is to replace the elected representatives responsible.
