To The Editor:
My name is Georgia Macy and I am one of the volunteer directors of the Hopkinton Food Pantry. I read the opinion column in (North Country Now Aug. 8-14) “Local Donations Better.” about donations remaining in the local area. I, also, feel it is important that people know where their money is going.
Hopkinton Food Pantry is proud to state that all monetary donations go to the community we serve. We help supplement Hopkinton-Fort Jackson and those in need who are closer to our pantry. We, at the Hopkinton Food Pantry, thank all who help us in any way. Rest assured, monetary donations are used to purchase food.
