To the Editor:

Patty Ritchie just called me with one of those recorded no-human attending cold calls, awakening me from a very painful and much needed sleep, to tell me the schools are going to get more money without raising any taxes.

1. If it doesn't raise taxes, where is the money coming from then?

2. What gives her the right to disturb my sleep? I'm disabled and sleep is hard to come by for me!

3. If you don't answer those kinds of calls, they just continue to repeat until you do answer it! They will run as late in the day as about 7 p.m.

4. Leaving the phone off-hook is not a possibility for detailed reasons I choose to not give but which has to do with a Life Line.

She has now entered my never-vote-for and non-support list as this isn't her first cold-call to me. I used to think she was pretty good but no longer.

When will these idiots realize they do themselves more damage with these cold-calls than they can ever recover from?
