To the Editor:
I want to comment on the wonderful performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s “Messa de Requiem” performed on April 28, 2012 by members of the Crane Chorus and Orchestra at SUNY Potsdam. I have lived in the community of Potsdam since I was 8 years old, and I have had many opportunities to attend many of Crane’s Chorus and Orchestra performances. I have nothing negative to comment about the Fall and Spring performances of the Crane Chorus and Orgestra.
I want to thank Jeffrey Francom, Dean Michael Silton and President Schwaller for making this performance a lifetime experience for myself, and many of us in the community. It was a wonderful, powerful performance of Verdi’s Requiem and the choir and orchestra should be pleased with themselves for the energy spent on the dynamic performance.
If we didn’t have the Crane School of Music, there would be no Potsdam.
