Craft show benefits Youth Advocate Program in Canton

On December 8, 2018 my local non-profit agency, held a craft/vendor show to raise money to help local families that we serve.

Our agency, Youth Advocate Program works all over St. Lawrence County with families that are referred to us from the Department of Social Services and Juvenile Probation.

The craft/vendor show raised money for our endowment fund and Joella Craig program. Joella Craig is an account we keep for emergencies that may arise with families such as gas money for medical appointments, heating, housing, winter clothing and so much more.

We would like to send special thanks to United Helpers for allowing us use of their Mosaic building in Ogdensburg that day. We want to also thank all the local vendors that participated.

Those vendors include Usbourne Books (Misty Cisneros), Pampered Chef (Carolyn Murdock), Scentsy and Hand painted wine glasses (Christy Lust), Attagirl Soaps (Julie Pratt), Sew Unique (Ann Borawski), Keep Collective (Amanda Kroeger), Lilla Rose (Janice Slamacha), Color Street (Jenni Durham), Rocky-Bottom Rustics (Connie Denny), Thirty One (Karen Layhee), Made by Mariah (Mariah German), Young Living Essential Oils (Sarah Panetti), Compo’s Custom Vinyl (Janelle Compo), Lone Pine Design (Bonnie Simpson), Creative Paintings (David Bracy), Artificial & Silk Flower Arrangements (Kaila Perrault), Blue Horizon (Jerry Pearson), Pearl Jewelry (Amy McDonald), Vals Creations (Valerie Weston), Lularoe (Michele Fobare), C&A Bling “Paparazzi” (Cynthia Erwin), Newcombe’s Maple Ridge (Lisa Newcombe), Perfectly Posh (Nicole Pearson), Norwex (Heather Richardson), PTA Moms (Angel Masonry and Tamara Graveline).

We also want to thank our local North Country NOW for advertising the event for our agency and the vendors. Our local radio stations, B99.3, The Wolf 95.3, Yes FM and Q Country for also allowing us on air to promote the event.

We want to send a special thanks for Linette and Tom Irish for their assistance for that day as well. Penny Frary for donating a gift basket of Christmas items for raffle as well. Special thanks as well go to the students from the OFA builders club that assisted throughout the day with selling raffle tickets and so much more.

Rex’s hardware also donated the wrapping paper for our wrapping station, and we would like to thank them for their donation.

Thank you to all the patrons that visited our craft/vendor show as well. Thank you for braving the cold that day to support our cause.
