ACLU dangerous to our freedom?

Notice the words in the name American Civil Liberties Union. Where do their behaviors promote liberty? How are their actions civil? Opponents of ACLU viewpoints are instructed to step around what they find offensive. At the same time, viewpoints the ACLU find offensive the ACLU wage war against to have outlawed.

This is hypocrisy at its finest. National surveys reveal a majority of Americans disagree with many of the positions taken by the ACLU. So, why do the majority in what is declared to be a democratic republic, allow themselves to be bullied by a minority of extremists?

If political correctness has not indoctrinated all sense of independent thought and courage out of society, where is the voice of the majority? Read the entire letter of Thomas Jefferson to the Baptist Church. It is very clear the position taken by the ACLU was an out of context interpretation of the facts they presented.

Does this mean their legal victories since have been due to the appointed judges they are allowed to argue in front of?

If so, consider this; there are four judges on the United States Supreme Court who will be reaching their eighties in the next four years. Do we really need a President who wants the opportunity to possibly achieve a solid majority on the United States Supreme Court of ACLU ‘friendly’ judges?
