Three Heuvelton Central students won the fifth Founder's Weekend Essay Contest, which is sponsored by the Heuvelton Teacher's Association and Ogdensburg Education Association. Students were awarded cash prizes and French and Indian War medals.
Winner included:
First prize, Marissa Johnston, a Madrid resident, received $50.
Second prize, Ben Gilbert, a Heuvelton resident, received $25.
Third prize, Mallory Cameron, a Heuvelton resident, received $25.
