POTSDAM – Vikie Jones, Michael Klein and Alison Roy were recently inducted into the Rotary Club of Potsdam.

Jones is the branch manager of Adirondack Regional Federal Credit Union in Potsdam; Klein is the president of Wear on Earth in Potsdam; and Roy is co-owner of BodyWorks Chiropractic in Potsdam.

Vikie Jones is a 1985 graduate of Potsdam Central High School and holds a certificate in cosmetology from Elegance Hairstyling School in Cornwall, Ontario. She has worked in finance and management for the past eight years. Prior to coming to Adirondack, she worked in other financial institutions for three years, as well as being employed as a hairstylist for ten years.

Michael Klein was raised in the suburbs of New York City. He came to northern New York as a student at Clarkson University where he studied business and technology management. While at Clarkson Klein developed a passion for the outdoors and adventure. After graduating in a weak job market, he decided to take a chance on a local sporting goods business. Since then, he has grown the business and modernized it by bringing technology to a small-town business. Klein is an avid outdoor enthusiast and has traveled the globe exploring the outdoors. In his time off, he is a road bike racer and an instrument-rated pilot.

Alison Roy, D.C., and her husband, Stephane, opened BodyWorks Chiropractic in April. They both graduated summa cum laude from Texas Chiropractic College in 2003, and practiced together in New Jersey for seven years before moving to Potsdam. They relocated in March to be closer to her husband's family in Canada, to fulfill their dream of a home office and to be near the Adirondacks. Roy enjoys spending time in nature, including hiking, biking, swimming, boating, fishing and camping, as well as playing tennis, roller blading, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She loves living in Potsdam and is happy to be in Rotary.

The Potsdam Rotary Club was established in 1928. Today it continues a long tradition of performing hands-on service projects and fund-raising for local, regional, and international causes. In short, Rotary is about sharing, serving, and having fun!

The Potsdam Rotary Club meets each Wednesday at noon at Julian's in Potsdam. Guests are welcome.
