SUNY Potsdam chooses several local residents as its college admissions ambassadors

POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam recently chose students to serve as the college's admissions ambassadors for the 2013-14 academic year. The students will lead campus tours, assist prospective students and their families, and serve as the "face" of SUNY Potsdam, while they continue their studies. The admissions ambassadors included:

• Joseph Boswell, a member of the class of 2016, from Potsdam, whose major is Childhood Education. Before attending SUNY Potsdam, Boswell also previously attended St. Philip's College (TX) and served in the U.S. Army.

• Emily Dickinson, a member of the class of 2015 from Harrisville, whose major is Politics. Before attending SUNY Potsdam, Dickinson graduated from Harrisville Central School.

• Nicholas Leonard, a member of the class of 2016, from Gouverneur, whose major is Music Business, with a concentration in clarinet. Before attending SUNY Potsdam, Leonard graduated from Gouverneur High School.

• Philip Paige, a member of the class of 2015, from Madrid, whose major is Secondary Social Studies Education. Before attending SUNY Potsdam, Paige graduated from Madrid Waddington Central School.

• Brady Turner, a member of the class of 2015, from Potsdam, whose major is Speech Commucation and Sociology. Before attending SUNY Potsdam, Turner graduated from Potsdam Central High School.

• Kaitlyn Wheeler, a member of the class of 2015, from Gouverneur, whose major is Psychology. Before attending SUNY Potsdam, Wheeler graduated from Gouverneur High School.
