NORWOOD -- The staff and administration at Seaway Career & Technical Education Center in Norwood announces the selection of Jacob Steenburg as the Potsdam Rotary Club/Seaway Career & Technical Education Center Student of the Month for May 2012.
Steenburg, who is enrolled in the HVAC/R Program, is also a student at St. Lawrence Central. He is the son of Chris and Donna Steenburg.
As a student in HVAC/R, Jacob is involved in the installation and servicing of oil heat, gas, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Upon completion of the program, Jacob will be able to attain an entry level job in the HVAC/R field or attend college to further his knowledge.
Mr. Gardner, HVAC/R instructor, has said the following about Jacob: “Jacob has been the top student for both years in my class. He is always striving to learn more about the trade. He has a very good work ethic. He always performs to his potential. It has been a real pleasure having him in my class for two years.”
