Several 4-Her’s from St. Lawrence County placed in horse shows at the New York State Fair this year.
Gage Dean, Breda McCormick, Sabrina Osuch and Lydia Maskell all from the Canton area competed in the Hunt Seat Division.
Lydia Maskell received a fifth and seventh in equitation over fences.
Sabrina Osuch received a sixth in working hunter, pony, a sixth in pony hunter hack, and a sixth in pony equitation over fences.
Cheynne Young from the Ogdensburg area, representing St. Lawrence County in the Western Division, received a third in western pleasure and a fourth in western showmanship.
Riley Green competed in the 4-H State Horse Communication Contest and finished fourth overall in New York State, in the Junior Division.
St. Lawrence County also sent many 4-H projects and displays to the fair which were judged in the 4-H building.
St. Lawrence County 4-H also competed in the horticulture contest, dairy judging and dairy breed Shows.
