CANTON -- Clark C. Maine, Potsdam, is participating in St. Lawrence University's New York City Program for the fall 2013 semester.
Maine, a member of the class of 2015 at St. Lawrence, is majoring in economics.
Maine graduated from The Clarkson School.
Nearly 50 percent of St. Lawrence University's class of 2013 studied off campus during their undergraduate careers, either in one of its 21 international study abroad programs or its domestic programs within the United States.
St. Lawrence University students participating in the New York City semester will select either a finance or arts academic concentration and will spend three full days each week gaining a deeper understanding of their selected field through an internship experience.
The New York City semester adds to four existing off-campus domestic study programs in the United States: the Sustainability Semester; the Adirondack Semester; the Washington, D.C. program at the Washington Center; and a semester at historically black Fisk University in Nashville, Tenn.
