Several area residents were recently inducted into the Sigma Alpha Pi chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success at Jefferson Community College. Inductees included:
• Emily M. Bush, Gouverneur
• Dia M. MacKay, Madrid
• Carlos J. Calderon, Ogdensburg
• Sara M. Durham, Oswegatchie
National Society of Leadership and Success, one of the largest leadership honor societies in the United States, “helps students discover and achieve their goals while providing the opportunity to strengthen existing leadership skills and build new ones,” according to a press release.
The formal induction process is preceded by a student’s participation in team meetings, networking, attending educational webinars and a leadership seminar.
