Norwood-Norfolk High's March students of the month announced

NORWOOD -- The staff at Norwood-Norfolk Central School has announced the Students of the Month for March.

They are:

Meagan LaShomb – Freshman. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Dorothy LaShomb of Norwood. Meagan is interested sports. Her favorite classes include math and art. She is undecided of what her future plans will be.

Luke Allen – Sophomore. He is the son of Stephanie and John Allen of Massena. Luke’s interests include sports, culinary arts, canines, and early history. He is a member of Whiz Quiz and Varsity Club. Luke plays sports all year. He is on the baseball, basketball and soccer teams. Luke’s future goals include going to college for physical education and playing college level baseball.

Trent Tatom – Junior. He is the son of Diane and Blake Tatom of Norwood. Trent enjoys hanging out with friends and visiting family. He is very interested in golf, soccer and music. Trent is on the soccer and golf teams. Trent’s future plan is to attend college and his goals include having a high paying job with a respectable family, nice home and 17 rabbits!

Vanessa Prashaw – Senior. She is the daughter of Ellie and Jeff Prashaw of Norwood. Vanessa likes to spend her spare time with friends and family. She also enjoys music. Vanessa plays soccer and softball. She is a member of band and chorus. Vanessa also had a role in this year’s musical. Upon completion of high school she will be attending SUNY Potsdam to pursue a career in psychology.

The Norwood-Norfolk PTSA solicits gift cards from local businesses for each student. The businesses that donated are the Hotel Grande and Al Smiths of Norfolk and The Hometown Café and Lobster House of Norwood.

Also, the Teacher’s Association presents the senior student of the month with a gift card to the Clarkson Bookstore.

These students are selected for their academic achievements, integrity and leadership in the school and throughout the community.
