NORWOOD -- Ryan Rotonde has been selected as the Potsdam Rotary Club/Seaway Career & Technical Education Center Student of the Month for February 2011.
Students from Canton Central, St. Lawrence Central, Potsdam and Norwood-Norfolk have also been recognized.
Ryan, who is enrolled in the Metalworking Technology Program, is also a student at Massena Central High School. He is the son of Lisa and Ross Rotonde.
Ryan is a student leader and a member of the National Technical Honor Society. He is honest and treats others with respect, school administrators say. He has taken part in the building of a huge woodstove and a snow bucket for the school’s tractor and many other projects.
Upon completion of the program and with Ryan’s skills and work attitude, he will have no problem finding a job in the metalworking field.
Other students selected as Student of the Month for their class at the Seaway Career & Technical Education Center include:
• Kaylynn Hallahan, Allied Health program, from Canton Central.
• Jessyca Dimick, Early Childhood program, from St. Lawrence Central.
• Patrick Bradley, Environmental Tech program, from Potsdam Central.
• Milli-Jean Parow, Health Careers program, from Potsdam Central
• Andrew Stone, HVAC program, from Norwood-Norfolk
