MASSENA -- Samantha Conn, a student at the U.S. Combat Dojo in Massena was recently promoted to first-degree black belt in both tae kwon do and joshiki martial arts styles.
Instructor Jonathan A. French gave the black belt test.
“Throughout this physically challenging black belt test Conn was required to display self-discipline, honor, and strength of body as well as mind,” French wrote. “She demonstrated that and knowledge of the history of discipline.”
