Simon Roome, chorus bass section leader at Madrid-Waddington Central School, will be among 550 students from around the country performing at the National Association for Music Education’s All-National Honor Ensembles Nov. 25-28 in Orlando, Fla.
Simon is a senior, where he is also first chair horn in the band. He serves as the president of Chapter #7823 of the Tri-M National Music Honor Society and vice president of the extracurricular singing group Stardust.
He has participated in area all-state band for three years, most recently as the first chair first horn, and was also a part of the horn section in the New York State Band Directors’ Association 2018 Senior High Honor Band.
