Heuvelton Central grad Johanna Carmony is heading for medical school in California and recently received a scholarship award from the Canton Goldenaires barbershop chorus. She is the fourth student from Heuvelton and one of seven winners this year of this award funded by the Goldenaires "Singing Valentine Program," the Goldenaires said.
She was involved in the Talented Juniors program at St. Lawrence University and Introduction to Veterinary Medicine at SUNY Canton.
Her achievements included being a member of National Honor Society, student council, Whiz Quiz and class of 2014 president.
