A Colton man and a Heuvelton duo were on the second and third place teams in the Northern New York Bassmasters tournament June Friday.

The event was held at Lake Champlain on June 9 out of the Chazy Landing State Launch. The tournament drew 56 anglers teamed up for the day that weighed in over 378 pounds of largemouth and smallmouth.

The top 4 winners were:

First place: Rob LaMoy, Cody LaMoy (Chazy) with 18.89 pounds.

Second place: Danny Ott, Eric Gibbs (Tupper Lake & South Colton) with 18.08 pounds.

Third place:: Chuck Roach, Chris Roach (Heuvelton) with 17.91 pounds.

Fourth place: Larry Rovito, Robin Reome (both Malone) with 17.55 pounds.

Lunker of the day was 5.28 lb largemouth caught by Danny Ott

The next tournament for the trail be held on the St. Lawrence River in Ogdensburg at the Patterson Street Launch June 23. Weigh-ins will be held at 3 p.m.
