POTSDAM -- Clarkson University’s Distinguished Research Professor in Hydraulic Engineering Hung Tao Shen recently traveled to China to share his expertise on river ice with several Chinese institutions.
At Sichuan University, where he is a visiting chair, Prof. Shen is working with colleagues on computer modeling of thermal-ice regimes of large reservoirs.
During the trip, he gave an invited lecture on “Modeling River Ice Processes – Formulation and Applications” at the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, Beijing, as part of the Institute’s Global Vision Forum.
