POTSDAM -- Clarkson University Associate Professor of Computer Science Jeanna Matthews presented at the 2018 World Science Festival in New York City recently.
Matthews participated in a panel called, “A.I.’s Human Shadow: Bias and Error in our Algorithmic Selves.”
This program looked at artificial intelligence, how we use it in our everyday lives, and how well it is working in today’s society.
Matthews and the other participants discussed artificial intelligence and how it is only as good as the data it’s given.
Data that is often tainted by human bias and/or errors.
