Clarkson University appoints new assistant professor of digital arts

POTSDAM -- Alex Lee was appointed assistant professor of digital arts at Clarkson University recently.

Lee received both his bachelor of fine arts degree with an emphasis in photography and his master of fine arts degree with an emphasis in art and technology from the School of Art Institute in Chicago.

Before coming to Clarkson, Lee was an assistant professor in the Department of Digital Media Design at Woosong University in Daejeon, Korea.

He has held numerous solo and group exhibits across the United States, as well as abroad, earning multiple scholarships and awards. Lee has lectured on computer graphics and has written extensively in art publications. His past positions include being an artist in residence, art photographer, advertising photographer for DZINE Inc. in Chicago, and an aerial photographer.

He is proficient in numerous photography, design and computer skills. Accordingly, his teaching experience melds his art and technology backgrounds, resulting in courses that range from basic photography to computer design, 3D animation and motion graphics.
