POTSDAM -- Alisha Ohl has been appointed assistant professor of occupational therapy at Clarkson University.
Ohl received her bachelor of science degree in occupational science and her master of science in occupational therapy from Ithaca College and her Ph.D. in occupational therapy from New York University.
In addition, she holds a license as a New York State occupational therapist and is nationally certified in occupational therapy.
Before coming to Clarkson University, she was assistant professor in the occupational therapy program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Prior to that, she had extensive hands-on experience in the field as senior occupational therapist, senior instructional therapist, and evaluator at the New York City Department of Education.
Ohl has made numerous presentations and invited lectures on topics such as Asperger Syndrome in adolescence and pediatric occupational therapy assessments.
Her research focuses on intervention efficacy under the Response to Intervention framework and occupational therapy assessment.
