Christopher K. Morris has been appointed assistant professor of anthropology at Clarkson University.
He received his bachelor of arts, master of arts, graduate certificate in college teaching, graduate certificate in development studies, and his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
His teaching experience includes a faculty position on the Semester at Sea (University of Virginia) summer 2014 Voyage, during which he taught the anthropology of food and introduction to cultural anthropology. While at the University of Colorado, he was instructor of record for numerous courses, including medical anthropology and introduction to peace and conflict studies, Clarkson said.
His honors and awards include the Chancellor’s Dissertation Completion Fellowship, CU Boulder; Social Science Research Council International Dissertation Research Fellowship; and the National Science Foundation Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship, Clarkson said.
