Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH) has named Kevin Hartigan employee of the year. Hartigan joined the hospital in 2006 as patient registrar and switchboard clerk, where his helpful nature and composed demeanor have been valued by patients and visitors.
“Kevin is the epitome of an outstanding employee,” said Terri Carr, manager of patient access. “He naturally assumes the lead when necessary and always makes patient safety and satisfaction his first priority. As a member of our front-line staff, he reacts promptly and efficiently to internal codes and is acutely aware of how to follow policies and procedures,” added Carr.
Hartigan is noted as being well-respected by staff and providers alike. He goes above and beyond to ensure those needing assistance receive the best possible experience and holds others up to his high standards. According to Carr, the hospital keeps overhead announcements to a minimum so as not to disturb patients “but when we need to make a PO announcement, it’s very nice to hear Kevin’s calming voice.”
Hartigan was honored with a dish garden, gift certificates, crysta and cake.
