CANTON -- Canton and Richville residents recently received SUNY Canton nursing scholarships.
The E.J. Noble Guild of Canton-Potsdam Hospital sponsors two SUNY Canton nursing scholarships annually totaling $5,000.
The recipients must be non-traditional second year students or those who have graduated and are pursuing a bachelor of bursing degree. Students must live in St. Lawrence County and show academic excellence and financial need.
This years recipients are Tammy Farr of Richville and Christine Nadeau of Canton. A scholarship celebration was held Sept. 22 at the Chaney Dining Hall on the SUNY Canton campus.
The E.J. Noble Guild's mission is to benefit Canton-Potsdam Hospital through a series of fundraising events and to promote community outreach and education. Money raised helps to purchase equipment and fund hospital projects.
