LATHAM -- Two St. Lawrence County residents who are members of the New York Army National Guard were promoted recently.
Aaron Curry, Canton, who serves with Company B, 2-108th Infantry, was promoted to the rank of Private First Class.
Kathrine Stevens, Richville, who serves with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, was promoted to the rank of Specialist.
Curry and Stevens were promoted in recognition of their capabilities for additional responsibility and leadership.
Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
