Beware of parsnip and hogweed in St. Lawrence County

Wild parsnip has become more abundant in St. Lawrence County in recent years, along with its close relative giant hogweed. Both plants have sap that can cause severe chemical burns on the skin of people if they come into contact with sap and are exposed to sunlight.
