Norwood-Norfolk Elementary School on Wednesday participated in Global Play Day 2017. It is being celebrated at schools around the world to promote the benefits of unstructured play. Elementary students played with board games, art activities, Legos and other toys they brought into school for the day. Each class also constructed play houses from large cardboard boxes. No electronic devices or computers were allowed. Event organizers hope that this Global Play Day will inspire families to also plan for more unsructured play time during non-school hours.
