HEUVELTON – A Zumba benefit for Joan Fischer, kidney transplant patient, will be held Friday, June 17 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Heuvelton Central School Elementary Gym.
Joan instructors Jackie Foster, Rachael Matejcik and Holly O’Brien for the Heuvelton librarian.
Joan had surgery on April 9, 2011. She has Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and waited on the transplant list for two years.
As part of post-operative care, she will be making weekly, bi-weekly and monthly trips to Albany Medical Center for at least the next 12 months.
A donation of $5 will be collected at the door.
After Zumba, follow us over to Doug's for drinks.
Teal bandannas, for PDK awareness, will be for sale at the door for $2; all money will go toward the event's total dollars raised.
