OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg Youth Wrestling Association will be making a donation to the Ogdensburg Parks & Recreation Department that will allow its winter wrestling program to go two days a week beginning in January, according to Recreation Director Matt Curatolo.
The winter wrestling program had been set for Tuesday evenings beginning Jan. 2 and ending March 13. In previous years, the program had been held two days a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but it was cut to one day for the winter.
But a donation from the wrestling association will pay for costs of renting the room at Ogdensburg Free Academy from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday nights.
The wrestling program is for area youth of all ages. Cost is $10 per youth, who must be registered to participate.
Registration is at the Dobisky Visitors’ Center, 100 Riverside Ave., Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Signups will also be taken the first night of the program at OFA.
