MASSENA -- The New York Power Authority’s St. Lawrence-FDR Power Project will host its annual Wildlife Festival at the beach at Robert Moses State Park, Robinson Bay Road, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22.
The free event will feature fun for the entire family with exhibits of live animals, nature displays, arts, crafts and entertainment.
The World of Wildlife and Educational Encounters (WOWEE) will return to Hawkins Point with a variety of exotic and endangered animals. WOWEE volunteers will provide two educational shows at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Audience members will enjoy the interactive games during both shows. In between shows, volunteers will be on-hand to answer questions about the exotic and endangered animals.
Reptiles Forever will be back at the festival to showcase a variety of insects and reptiles. There will be a petting zoo with farm animals, craft projects, wagon rides, chainsaw carving and birds of prey.
The festival will be held rain or shine.
