Wildlife Festival

MASSENA: New York Power Authority’s St. Lawrence-FDR Power Project annual Wildlife Festival at the beach at Robert Moses State Park, Robinson Bay Road, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; free, featuring exhibits of live animals, nature displays, arts, crafts and entertainment; World of Wildlife and Educational Encounters (WOWEE) with a variety of exotic and endangered animals; interactive games; Reptiles Forever showcasing a variety of insects and reptiles; petting zoo with farm animals, craft projects, wagon rides, chainsaw carving and birds of prey; rain or shine; 315-764-0226, ext. 716-6302.

Annual SpiritFest

POTSDAM: Fourth annual SpiritFest, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Ives Park; free and open to the public; Trillium Wellness Center information table, electronic music performances by Jerod Sommerfeldt and friends, live painting by Denessa Statler Wilson, chakra yoga demonstration by Kathy Wilcox; Reiki by various practitioners such as Sabrina Benjamin-Myers, Tammy Dishaw, Kaylie Deshane, Amy D'Angelo and Richard Baker; pendulum readings with Caitlin Wilson; palm readings with Angela Dunsin; multiple vendors selling jewelry, handmade gifts, crystals and locally-roasted coffee; special help and cooperation will be provided by the SUNY Potsdam Metaphysical Studies Organization; http://bit.ly/NYSpiritFest.

Camp Laurent Festival

OGDENSBURG: Camp Laurent Fall Festival, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., next to Lisbon Beach at 9943 State Highway 37; grounds admission $1; Apple Chapel will be selling McIntosh apples, fall mums, other items; local vendors and crafters; Steelin’ Country noon-3 p.m.; lunch available chili, soup, corn dogs, desserts, beverages; activities admission $5 per person, includes scarecrow making, gourd painting, mini hay ride, lawn games, bouncy house provided by Seaway Valley Jumpers; proceeds benefit Camp Laurent Maintenance Fund.

Artist reception

OGDENSBURG: The Frederic Remington Art Museum’s 2018 New York State Juried Art Exhibition will open with free public reception, 2-4 p.m.; public invited; work will be for sale, portion of proceeds benefits museum.

Fall farmers market

POTSDAM: Fall farmers market, Tractor Supply Company, Route 11, local growers, crafters and artisans, everything from produce and soaps to homemade crafts and candles.

Gun show

COLTON: Colton Fire Department gun show, Station #l, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; admission is $3 and children 12 and younger are free; food and beverages, a raffle, and lots of vendors.

Suicide awareness walk

POTSDAM: Suicide awareness walk, noon, hosted by SUNY Potsdam, meet at the entrance of Dunn Quad.

SUNY Family Weekend begins

POTSDAM: SUNY Potsdam Family Weekend begins, 9 a.m., lasts until Saturday, variety of events planned.

Fall rummage sale

CANTON: Presbyterian Church on the Park will hold a fall rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Church anniversary

MORLEY: Morley Wesleyan Church, 7254 CR 27, 175th anniversary celebration; lunch by Fobare’s at 11 a.m. with activities following; Sergi’s pizza supper, speech by Wesleyan Church general superintendent Wayne Schmidt.
